I really enjoyed the tandem and want to learn to jump by myself. What's the next step?
We offer two methods of instructions. AFF, or Accelerated Freefall, and Static Line. Back to Top

What is AFF or Accelerated Freefall?
Accelerated Freefall or AFF for short is the most common and fastest way to learn to skydive. If you have never jumped before a tandem skydive is required. The AFF program consists of 6 to 8 hours of ground school and a written examination. There are seven levels, or jumps, that need to be completed and you must meet all the targeted learning objectives on each jump to proceed to the next level. Jump number seven is your graduation jump and after that you may jump by yourself or with other experienced skydivers. You will learn basic parachute packing techniques during your training jumps. On jumps one through three you are accompained by two AFF jumpmasters. Jumps four through seven require one jumpmaster. Back to Top

What is Static Line?
The student exits the aircraft solo with the parachute deploying automatically as the student leaves the airplane at approximately 3,500 feet. The static line method requires 6 to 8 hours of classroom instruction. You must meet certain Targeted Learning Objectives on each jump to advance to the next level. Each level advances the student through progressively longer freefall times from higher altitudes. Back to Top

How long does the AFF and Static Line programs take to complete?
The AFF program takes seven jumps to complete which can be accomplished in 2 or 3 weekends.

The static line program however takes longer. A lot depends on the student and how often they are available to jump. Call us for more information. Back to Top
